Usage: It can strongly absorb ultraviolet rays with wavelengths of 300-375nm. Used for polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, ABS resin, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polycarbonate, polyester PVC、 UV absorbers for epoxy resin. In terms of plastics, UV-531 has excellent activity and good miscibility with high polymers, which enables selective absorption of polyethylene, polypropylene, and ester ethylene. It can improve the outdoor weather resistance of plasticized and rigid polyvinyl chloride; Polyester, polycarbonate, polystyrene, and acrylic esters exposed to sunlight and fluorescence can delay their color yellowing. In terms of coatings, it has excellent stability for tung oil phenolic paint and alkyd resin paint. The general dosage is 0.1-1%.
UV-531 can be used as a stabilizer for petroleum wax in food according to US food additive regulations, with a dosage not exceeding 0.01% of the wax's weight.
